Sutton & District United Synagogue is a warm and welcoming orthodox community, located on the borders of south-west London and Surrey yet only 12 miles from central London.  Our membership covers
a wide geographic area and a broad range of age and observance.
Established in 1946, the current building incorporates a purpose-built prayer hall and adjoining communal facilities.  It is a short walk from Sutton Station, which gives access to central London in 30 minutes, as well as direct train services to north London.
We seek an energetic, enthusiastic and charismatic Rabbi and Rebbetzen with a modern orthodox approach to spiritually inspire, motivate and embrace the community.  The Rabbi will be passionate, self-motivated and well organised, able to daven and leyn confidently, educate and engage.
The couple will build a close and meaningful relationship with existing members, and actively promote the Sutton community and seek new members in an area conducive to an expansion of Jewish life south of the capital.
The couple will work with the lay leadership to encourage and strengthen the community’s religious, pastoral and educational needs, and will be ambassadors representing Sutton in the wider Jewish and secular community.
