Are YOU passionate about enabling others to live their Jewish life in the way they want to?
Do you have the knowledge and drive to empower adults with learning disabilities to be fully
supported at home and in the kehilla to live their lives according to their personal religious wishes?
WE are passionate about fulfilling our mission of supporting each unique person so they can progress, achieve independence, enjoy life and be included in the kehilla.
We are seeking a ‘Jewish Life Facilitator’ to champion shmiras mitzvos with the people we support,
train employees to facilitate this, and check that they are enabled both at home and in the kehilla to celebrate
every aspect of Jewish religious and halachic life according to their wishes – such as Kashrus, Shabbos, Yom Tov,
limmudei kodesh, etc. You will work with people we support, deliver training to staff and volunteers in the supported
living services, and build strong relationships with the kehilla, to infuse Yiddishkeit into all aspects of our support.
This is a great role for someone with a deep knowledge of halacha who is organised and proactive and can work flexibly to deliver training and run kodesh programmes and celebrations for people we support and employees throughout the Jewish calendar.
Closing date for applications: 4th August 2019
