The heart of Torah Judaism in Germany, Kahal Adass Jisroel in Berlin, is searching for a Mara D'Asra Kahal Adass Jisroel today consists of more than 300 members, and is served by a wide range of educational and communal programs including a kindergarten and school enrolling close to 200 children, a mikva, and a Kolel in partnership with Beth Medrash Govoha of Lakewood. Additionally, the community is host to a wide range of outreach and education activities for young Jews in Berlin and Germany supported by the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation. Hundreds of people across the country are directly affected by Torah emanating from Kahal Adass Jisroel, its members, and its institutions. This represents a unique opportunity to shape and influence the future of Yiddishkeit in an entire country. The Mara D'asra will serve as the halachic and spiritual authority of the kehilla, and as the titular Head of School of the kindergarten and school, responsible for executing mission, policy and aims. The appropriate candidate will possess outstanding leadership qualities and interpersonal skills, an ability to pasken Halacha, and the readiness to assume a role of historic significance.
