The vibrant Ashkenazi Hale and District Hebrew Congregation of South Manchester is seeking
to recruit a dynamic Rabbi and Rebbetzen. The successful couple will provide religious
and spiritual leadership and pastoral care to invigorate and energise this established and
welcoming community which includes members of all levels of observance.
The newly appointed Rabbinic couple will jointly and separately be expected to have an
impact engaging with all sectors of our diverse community.

We seek candidates of the highest calibre. The successful candidates will have proven experience
in providing full pastoral care including matrimonial, personal, family, education
and bereavement counselling as well as conflict resolution.
The candidates’ personal attributes will be as important as their formal qualifications.
We seek a Rabbi and a Rebbetzen who will both embody our values and embrace our diversity.
The ideal candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience working as a
Rabbinic couple and as leaders of a community.
